Sunday, Feb. 28, we launched our 2016 Annual Budget Drive. We breakfasted together in our pajamas and fuzzy slippers. I remember looking out over the sanctuary and feeling in awe of all of our wonderful community, all gathered together in our pajamas and comfy outfits like we had just had a big sleepover together. And the breakfast was amazing! Thank you so much to all who prepared the meal and then to all who helped to clean up after.

Both John Hilke, our incoming Board President and Rev Lois gave voice to this year’s theme of “Our Future is Now”

Budget Drive Goal

Our budget goal this year is $300,000 which is a 5% increase over last year’s pledges. The main priorities include maintaining our commitment to our full-time minister and to hire a full-time Director of Lifelong Learning.

By now, most of you will have received the brochure in the mail. This provides further details on the financial aspects of the budget drive. This is part of our long-term strategy to grow and flourish as a UU community.

Our Annual Budget Drive is off to a good start. So far, we have received 34 forms (27% participation) and $147,685 (49% of budget goal).

If you have pledged already, THANK YOU.  If you haven’t pledged yet, please pledge generously. You have a number of ways to submit your pledge:

If you are new to WUUC and pledging, please check out the Pledge FAQs on our Website.

Our drive runs through the end of March.  Feel free to contact us or any member of the Annual Budget Drive team if you would like more information. For members, if we don’t hear from you, one of our stewards will be contacting you to answer any questions you may have.

In community,
