Caterpillars (Nursery-Preschool)

(Warm and loving care for our very little ones and Celebrating Me and My World for our preschoolers. This curriculum teaches our children to celebrate their own personal gifts and talents. From a place of feeling special and worthy, the curriculum asks our children to expand their new sense of appreciation to people and things around them.)

Risk Jam! 

This month we will contemplate the theme risk. In ArtJam we explore risk by creating sculptures in clay, in BodyJam we will do “Horrific Tai-Chi” and nature scavenger hunts. In Story Jam we learn about the story of Unitarian explorer Vilhjalmur Stefansson and illustrator NC Wyeth afterwards we all try some risky exploring together.

Combined Group: Justice Jam

Now that we have learned the value in taking virtuous risks, we will learn how to take risks for others. This Sunday we will learn about protest music and how singing together brings us together in solidarity.

(Building Bridges is a world religions program to deepen youth’s understanding of the dynamic, fascinating, and varied world in which they live. It seeks to broaden their knowledge of humanity and embolden their spiritual search.)

(This year our youth will be focusing on project-based social justice learning. They will choose a project around either environmental justice, racial justice, lgbt equality, or some other topic. Together they will formulate a project and work together to learn about each issue while practically engaging the topic through project based learning.)

Join us to field test an exciting new curriculum! Our Whole Lives Sexuality Education for Older Adults


We are an approved field test site for an innovative series of workshops tailored to the needs and interests of adults aged 50+. We have a unique opportunity to test the draft curriculum and provide input for the final edition. Our feedback will ensure that Our Whole Lives: Sexuality Education for Older Adults continues the tradition of excellence for which the lifespan series is known.

Workshop dates: Wednesday mornings on 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, & 5/24 (must commit to attend all meetings barring unforeseen circumstances)

Cost: Free to WUUC, $25 to outside members

Our Whole Lives: Sexuality Education for Older Adults explores sexuality through values, wisdom and experiences gained over a lifetime. You will enhance your understanding of healthy relationships, age-related changes, sexual health, sexual identity, communication, and other interesting topics.
