The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago.
The second best is now.

WUUC’s Endowment Team will dedicate a Legacy Tree on Sept. 24 shortly after the worship service. The Legacy Tree will recognize donors to WUUC’s Endowment Fund and will be mounted on the wall above the communications folders.

Karen Hyams and other artists within and outside the WUUC community have been working over the summer to create a one-of-a-kind work of art.

Anyone who participates in the Wake Now Our Vision Legacy Campaign will be honored with an inscribed leaf on the tree. The Campaign encourages UU members across the country to provide legacy gifts to their local churches through wills, trusts and other means. In 2019, the Wake Now Our Vision Legacy Campaign will send local congregations 10% of the value of the gifts.

In addition, anyone who donates a least $10,000 to WUUC’s Endowment Fund in cash, stock, property or other means will also have an inscribed leaf on the tree.

If you have participated in the Wake Now Our Vision Legacy Campaign, please contact John Hartman (Endowment Team Lead) if you would like to be honored with a leaf on the Legacy Tree.
