at Seabeck Conference Center on beautiful Hood Canal
There is absolutely something for everyone during this family-friendly, intergenerational, community-building event. This year we are proud to introduce our theme, Gathering in Mindfulness, to be presented by Charles Morris.
Charles Morris has been a practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism in the Gelugpa tradition for over 14 years. He is a student at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington in Ballard, where he has also taught Dharma and meditation to kids and adults for 10 years. He is currently enrolled in a Master’s of Mindfulness studies program at Lesley University and is working on expanding an employee mindfulness program at Microsoft, where he has worked for 17 years.
The many benefits of mindfulness and meditation are available to us all. Imagine yourself being able to relax your mind and body, being more present in each moment throughout the day, and connecting more deeply with others in your life. Don’t spend time worrying! Turn off the negative self-talk, and instead bring compassion for self and others to the forefront.
Join us in exploring the inner workings of how we can influence our thoughts and wellbeing through the spiritual practice of mindfulness and meditation. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or someone who wants to explore new areas for growth, this will be time well spent. We can come together to bring our community one step closer to peace and loving kindness.
Charles will cover key mindfulness concepts and lead meditations during our adult morning program at Seabeck. He will also offer an additional focused meditation session in the afternoon. Childcare will be provided during the morning program.
