The annual pledge drive is when we come together to celebrate and renew our financial commitments to support the mission and work of WUUC. This year’s theme is about building connections and strengthening the fabric of our community. We are the foundation at the center of WUUC, interweaving many facets to create our future. Together we are WUUC.

Please join us on Sunday, Feb. 24, for our pledge drive kickoff and community potluck.

We are pleased to introduce this year’s annual 2019-2020 pledge drive co-chairs, LeRoy and Hilarie.

LeRoy Mietzner is a Charter Member of WUUC and has been involved in a wide range of church-related activities, committees, and task forces over the years. Involvement in WUUC had been an important part of his life from working in the nursery, teaching RE, and coordinating the annual Church Campout, to chairing the Finance Committee and serving as Treasurer on the Board of Trustees. LeRoy is a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience designing industrial mechanisms and machinery. He has been married to Natalie for nearly 30 years, and together they have raised 3 boys, who have also been part of the WUUC family.

Dr. Hilarie Cash is a newer member of WUUC. She is the co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer for reSTART Life, a residential program (first in the US or Canada) for adults and adolescents experiencing serious problems from addiction to the Internet and video games (www.netaddictionrecovery.com).  She began her work in Internet addiction in the mid-90’s and by 1999 had co-founded an outpatient clinic called Internet/Computer Addiction Services. She co-authored the book Video Games and Your Kids: How Parents Stay in Control and is recognized as one of the nation’s leading experts in the field speaking, presenting, and appearing in more than 600 news reports about Internet addiction.
