Calling all salmon (and those who honor salmon and the Wheel of Life):
Come help WUUC’s Earthbased Spirituality Group celebrate the Fall Equinox holiday of Mabon, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. in the WUUC Firepit area (or in the sanctuary, if weather is prohibitive outside). Bring streamers of fabric to dance with and represent various animal and nature beings and energies, and help us dance in support of the Wheel of Life and the Wheel of the Year.
Needed: salmon dancers (pink and silver streamers), orcas (black-and-white), ravens/crows (black), gulls (white), bears (brown or black), wolves (gray and red), deer (tan/brown/fawn), other birds (any color), apples (red/yellow/green), huckleberries (green and red), trees (various greens), corn and grain (green and yellow), pumpkins and squashes (orange and green), mushrooms (gray/brown), rivers (blue and white), snowpack (white), wildfire (red and yellow), rainclouds (gray and blue), and any other Beings and colors you can think of. USE YOUR IMAGINATION!
This will be a family-positive movement-focused ritual; drums and drummers very welcome, also portable/danceable instruments sought. And plan to share one activity you will do in the coming year to support and heal the Earth in this time of environmental stress.
Bring salmon dishes and the like for our potluck afterward.
