The leadership at WUUC currently consists of the Board of Trustees, WUUC Staff, the Leadership Council, and committees.
The Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is composed of nine church members elected by the congregation to act on their behalf in making and carrying out church policy. They act within the guidelines of the WUUC Bylaws and the Unitarian Universalist Association. The board members are elected for staggered three-year terms and includes four officers and five members-at-large. Meetings are held on the second Sunday of the month, noon to 2:00 pm in the church library, and are open to members who wish to attend.

Leadership Council
The Leadership Council is comprised of the chairs or appointed representatives of the various committees and groups, plus the Minister. In monthly meetings led by the board vice president, the Leadership Council addresses issues of interest to, and requiring coordination of, the represented groups. Topics include space use, event scheduling, and day-to-day church and office operations. These meetings also provide a clearinghouse of information through committee reports, so each committee has an idea of what is happening in other committees and in the church as a whole. Leadership Council is held on the Saturday prior to the Board meeting, from 9 to 11 a.m., and all are welcome to attend.
Committees
Committees are an important part of "making church work." They are also a great way for us to get to know one another and develop bonds as we roll up our sleeves and work together. Following are the groups of WUUC committees for the 2010 -11 church year. Most meetings are held after the Sunday service at WUUC on either the first or third Sunday of the month, though some are held less frequently. You are invited to attend a committee of interest. Child care is available for some committee meetings; contact the chair of the committee for more information.
- Engaging Worship Team committees: Worship, Music and Choir, and Visual Arts
- Life-Span Faith Development committees: Nursery, Children's Programs, Youth Programs, and Adult Enrichment, as well as Family Night and other social gatherings
- Advocates for Social Justice sub-committees: Ending Homelessness, Welcoming Congregation, and Green Sanctuary
- Member Care Team committees: Membership, Hospitality, Cares and Concerns, and Communications
- Management Team committees: Development (includes Special Events), Finance, Buildings and Grounds, and IT
