Reverend Peter J. Luton —

The center of the Universe keeps shifting and usually away from me.  It can be a challenge to one’s self-image when my “place in the family of things” appears so, well so trivial and insignificant.

Reverend Dr. Peter J. Luton served as minister at East Shore Unitarian Church in Bellevue, WA for 21 years from 1994 to 2015.  He was minister of the First Universalist Church in Yarmouth, Maine, five miles north of what he calls “the real Portland.”  He recently finished six years as a member and Vice Chair of the Board of Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago.  He is currently learning, yet again, that our roles do not define our souls.
