Zen meditation and discussion: Drop-in, Tuesdays 10 AM – Noon (Sanctuary) or Thursday 7-9 PM (Portable 2; Sanctuary from June 22 through July 27). The first hour offers silent meditation (instruction available), a short period of walking meditation, and an introduction to Zen ritual including sutra chanting and bowing (gratitude) practice. The 5 Element Qi Gong practice is a simple, health-enhancing practice, suitable for all levels and abilities.  Qi gong literally translates to vital energy movement, and this practice focuses on balancing the flow of energy through all areas of the body - muscles, fascia and organs.  It can be practiced sitting or standing, and modified for comfort in cases of pain or restricted movement. Love and justice are values pushing back on the other side. Inclusion and exclusion are some of the consequences, intended or otherwise. Warren Jessop, Northlake Unitarian Church Member -- In 1644 John Milton also wrote this about truth: "she needs no policies, no stratagems, to make her victorious."  Things are different these days.  In politics, in order to bump the odds of victory for a candidate or issue, a stratagem called "framing" is often used when trying to fool voters.  But framing also helps when one is trying to tell the whole truth.  "Framing" is the topic of the morning.

They will travel, learn, work and worship together. This service they bring back their impressions of Unitarianism from the place where it all started: Transylvania.
