WUUC Is Talkin’ Trash!

Soon you will see some very sharply dressed folks (see above) walking around the church wearing green vests. These are Trash Talkers - also known as members of WUUC’s Recycling Task Force. You can be a sharply dressed Trash Talker too!

What do we do?
We’re reducing the amount of WUUC’s trash that goes to landfills- thus making the earth a better place to live.
How do we do it?
By helping folks get trash where it belongs. So stuff that can be Recycled, Composted and Re-purposed stays out of the landfill.
What do Trash Talkers do?
If you have questions about where a piece of trash belongs, ask a Trash Talker. Hey, we know the waste management world of “what goes where” can be confusing but we’re here to help. Ask a Trash Talker!
We need YOU to become a Trash Talker!
Just follow the link below for more information and to sign up.

Continuing Zoom & Hybrid Events

Dear WUUC, The pandemic has been hard on all of us. Engaging with our shared community is more important than ever. To that end, we encourage all folks who plan, develop, or coordinate WUUC events to carefully consider including people who may not be able to participate in person by offering hybrid or online options whenever possible. Training and/or help with setting up virtual/hybrid events is available. Please contact May Killorin, Office Administrator, for assistance.

1/4 - Revisiting Intention

Revisiting Intention
By Reverend Dan Lillie

Our theme for the 2025-26 church year is intention. Now that we're halfway through the year (and kicking off a new calendar year), how have we noticed this theme showing up in our lives? Let's have an intentional check-in.

1/11 - What's in a Word: Worship

What's in a Word: Worship
By Reverend Dan Lillie

As Unitarian Universalists, we can sometimes feel "put off" by religious words. But some of these words and concepts can have value in our lives, even if the religion they come from (or are most associated with) isn't one we identify with. In this first service in our new "What's in a Word?" series, we'll explore the word "worship" to see how we might use it here at WUUC.

1/25 - The Transformative Power of Resistance

The Transformative Power of Resistance
By WUUC Defend Democracy Group

The soul of democracy has been under siege from authoritarian assaults on the justice system and constitutional protections during the past year. Resistance is the catalyst and primer for building a pro-democracy movement that guides us to a common dream where all can thrive. Members of the WUUC Defending Democracy group will share their insights and stories about the transformative power of resistance: moral clarity, solidarity and courage, creativity, resourcefulness and more.
