Continuing Zoom & Hybrid Events

Dear WUUC, The pandemic has been hard on all of us. Engaging with our shared community is more important than ever. To that end, we encourage all folks who plan, develop, or coordinate WUUC events to carefully consider including people who may not be able to participate in person by offering hybrid or online options whenever possible. Training and/or help with setting up virtual/hybrid events is available. Please contact May Killorin, Office Manager, for assistance.

Post-Service Potluck - Sunday, January 29

For those with limited transportation, a potluck just after service is much easier to manage than a special trip to someone's home.
If you think you might be interested in attending the potluck in the sanctuary, it'd be great if you could go to the link below to RSVP. It will help plan a rough idea of how many people might stay after to share food together.

1/15 - Risking Transformation

Risking Transformation
- April Frazier

There is a loneliness that comes from hiding our true selves and keeping silent about what we need. By risking speaking our truth with persons we can trust, there is the possibility of connection, which can break down the barriers of isolation, leaving room for the freedom and beauty of transformation. This is a vision for what our lives can be like in community.

Rev. April Frazier is an Affiliated Community Minister with Shoreline UUC. She is a Board Certified Chaplain and has spent the last decade working in home hospice. She received her M.Div. from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Originally from South Dakota, she lived in Portland, Oregon after college and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. She lives in Kenmore with her husband and their two children, ages 8 and 2.

1/22 - How We Change

How We Change
- Christine Robinson

We who are alive can’t get around it: We have to change. Individuals change, (How are those New Year’s Resolutions going?), groups change, even institutions like churches change. How do we do that? How do we resist it? How do we push back on unhealthy change?

The Rev. Christine Robinson is the Minister Emerita of the First Unitarian Church of Albuquerque, New Mexico, which she served for 28 years before retiring in 2017. Among her favorite parts of that ministry was mentoring interns, among them Dan Lillie! And oh, does she know change!
