Join your WUUC friends for the 2025 Summer campout!
|
|

|
Summer may seem a long way off, but it's time to make reservations for the 2025 WUUC annual campout! The campout will be Thursday, July 24 to Sunday July 27, at Deception Pass State Park. Reservations open 9 months ahead, so on Thursday, October 24 at 7:00 a.m. we will reserve our preferred spots, which go very quickly. For questions or more information, please contact Jack Brand at jackbrand@gmail.com. We will be coordinating reservations prior to October 24, via the “WUUC Camping” email list. WUUC Board of Trustees October Update
|
|
|
|
The WUUC Board of Trustees met on September 19 for their regular business meeting. There, they discussed some important building and grounds financial information and finalized the Board Goals for the 2024-2025 church year. The minutes for the meeting can be found here. The Board will hold its regular monthly business meeting on the third Wednesday each month. The next meeting is October 16.

School is in full swing and so is WUUC’s Totes to Go program. We support 15 students at Maywood Hills school with food for weekends, when school meals aren’t available. Each month we deliver supplies for four weekends – and a little extra in months with five weekends. Students receive servings of milk, juice, a one-dish meal, cereal, granola bars, fruit, snacks, and …

Justice & Service Monthly Collection - Sunday, October 20

This month’s collection helps fund the Advocates for Immigrants in Detention Northwest (AIDNW) supporting immigrants with dignity in detention and upon release.

Music Circle - Saturday, October 5
|
|
|
Music Circle will be held on the first Saturday of every month at 1:00 p.m. in Ditzler Hall. You are invited to bring your voice, your drums, your guitars or whatever instruments you want for impromptu music making. Bring music if you want, or just jump in any way you can and have some fun with music-minded WUUC folk.

Game Gathering - Saturday, October 5
|
|
|
We're going to have a Game Gathering on Saturday, October 5 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.
|
We'll have puzzles decks of cards, and some games on-hand, but you are also welcome to bring your own.
|
We expect to be there for around 3 hours, so it's okay if you can't make it right on time or can't stay the entire time.

Eco Connect Task Force Postcard Writing - Sunday, October 6 & Wednesday, October 9

Betsy MacWhinney has organized weekly postcard writing sessions to defeat Initiative 2117 as well as to Get Out the Vote in elections across the country. These sessions are at the William Grassie Winery in Duvall- every Sunday from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.

WRITE POSTCARDS, MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Looking for ways to have an impact on the November elections? You have multiple options! The Eco Connection Task Force has organized a postcard writing campaign to defeat Initiative 2117. 2117 is an initiative- funded by a California billionaire- which would repeal Washington State's Climate Commitment Act.
|
There will be multiple No on 2117 postcard writing parties (snacks, drinks, music!) in the Library at WUUC on the following dates/times: October 6: 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. October 9: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
|
Join us at one of these events! Hang out with your postcard writing buddies. Have some fun. Make a difference.

Kimbrough Cafe - Saturday, October 12
|
|
Celebrate the return of Kimbrough Cafe, a fun evening for our WUUC community to enjoy wonderful live music and delicious food. This will be our 8th annual event! Saturday, October 12th. Doors open at 6:00. Show starts at 6:30. Food and music from our talented WUUC volunteers will reflect our theme of Rainbow Connection.

- Dottie Simpson Monday Morning Sister Circle is a WUUC group which has met every second Monday from 10:00 - 12:00 p.m. We are a group of women who meet in the WUUC Library to discuss a person of interest or an essay every month. We have recently discussed women philosophers, women of action, NPR essays, spiritual essays, etc. The group is open to any woman at WUUC and we would love to have any interested woman join us. Come at 12:30 or drift over from the potluck and get into the flow of some seriously joyful rhythm-making at the far side of the Sanctuary. Trunk or Treat - Sunday, October 27

|
Collaboration with Woodinville Country Day School (WCDS) and Woodinville Unitarian Universalist Church (WUUC) we will be hosting a Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, October 27 after the service. This is going to be a spooktacular afternoon! Trunks will be set up between 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. Trunk or treating will be from 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. followed by games, cocoa, cider, and mingling. Invite the kids in your life to this extra opportunity to wear their costumes and secure some bonus candy. We hope you can join us!
