Many people in the U.S. are unfamiliar with the beautiful
North Indian classical dance form, Kathak. It is a
virtuosic form whose subtlety and charm come from a
blend of Persian and Hindu influences. Learn about its
history, experience movements and rhythms, model
costumes, and watch a video of master performers.
Indian snacks included. Taught by Sharon Varosh, who
performed for seven years with Katha Dance Theatre in
Minnesota, and currently teaches at Anga Kala Dance
Academy in Redmond. Friday January 23rd, 7:00 to
9:00 pm, location to be determined.
