The Orca Concert Series’ “Harmony for Hope” concert on March 23 will be at Woodinville Unitarian
Universalist Church to benefit the Maltby Food Bank. Come hear great music for a great cause. Orca Concerts
director Sean Osborn will perform on clarinet, joined by Seattle Symphony ‘cellist Eric Han, and pianist Jessica
Choe. Aaron Jay Kernis’s passionate Trio in Red is featured, along with Beethoven’s ebullient “Gassenhauer”
trio, Op. 11, and Francis Poulenc’s “Sonata for Clarinet and Piano.”
Winner of the 2017-18 American Prize in Instrumental Performance, Sean Osborn has toured the world as
soloist and chamber musician, and during his eleven years with the Metropolitan Opera. He has appeared as
guest principal clarinet with the New York Philharmonic, Pittsburgh Symphony, Seattle Symphony and other
fine ensembles. Seattle Symphony cellist Eric Han made his concerto debut with the Toronto Symphony
Orchestra at the age of 14, and performed at numerous festivals, including Moritzburg Festival, La Jolla
SummerFest, and Music@Menlo.
Pianist Jessica Choe has performed throughout the US, Europe and Asia in such halls as The Kennedy Center,
Seiji Ozawa Hall, Lincoln Center, and has won numerous prizes including the Samick Piano Competition,
Baldwin Piano Competition, Steinway Society Competition among others.
The Orca concert series began in 2017, and is run by Clarinettissimo, a 501(c)(3) registered in Washington
State. Performers this season include musicians who have performed with the Berlin Philharmonic,
Philadelphia Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, Seattle Chamber Music Society,
