Religious Education Volunteers Needed
We are always in need of more volunteers for Religious Education! You can choose your level of involvement. For many volunteers, no preparation work is needed. We just need another person to be with the kids on Sunday morning in order to follow our safety policy of two adults in each classroom. Please email office@wuuc.org if you are interested.

Defend Democracy and Protect Freedom Training
Opportunity to get engaged, get educated, get energized to Defend our democracy! 7 series training sessions Thursdays, April 3 – May 15 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. – Online, join together at WUUC or on your own.
A unique thing about this training is that it’s online but is intended for in-person groups to join together. There will be breakouts during the training that people can participate in as part of an in-person group (which we’ll have at WUUC in the library) or as a part of a virtual breakout room with other online attendees.
Feel free to register yourself for any/all sessions. I (Pam Green) will register and join from WUUC for our in-person group participation. Attend as many sessions as you’re able. (I’m not sure if they will be recorded and available later.)

Food Lifeline helps provide food & resources to thousands of people facing hunger across Western Washington daily. Launched during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Community Food Sovereignty Fund is a Food Lifeline grantmaking initiative to support neighbor- and community-driven approaches to food justice and food sovereignty. Since 2021, we have awarded $2.3 million through 57 grants. This fiscal year, we awarded $600,000 in grant funding for 14 organizations doing projects that support long-term food security in Skagit, Whatcom, King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties. Please join us in celebrating the work of our Community Food Sovereignty Fund grant partners!
The ASJ Committee thanks WUUC members and friends for their generous support of our monthly special collections, which take place during services on the third Sunday of every month (April 20th). Instructions for giving are posted during the service, and you can also donate anytime at https://onrealm.org/wuuc/-/give/now, or by sending a check to WUUC at P.O. Box 111, Woodinville, WA 98072. April 13 Town Hall Discussion on Recycling at WUUC

This decision has proven to be controversial, and so on Sunday, April 13, there will be a town hall discussion in the sanctuary following the service. The purpose will be to see if members feel strongly enough about reinstating recycling through Waste Management to pay the $100 per month cost and whether there is sufficient volunteer support to make …

Continuing Zoom & Hybrid Events

Dear WUUC, The pandemic has been hard on all of us. Engaging with our shared community is more important than ever. To that end, we encourage all folks who plan, develop, or coordinate WUUC events to carefully consider including people who may not be able to participate in person by offering hybrid or online options whenever possible. Training and/or help with setting up virtual/hybrid events is available. Please contact May Killorin, Office Administrator, for assistance.

We’ll also welcome new members to our WUUC community, who wisely chose to join (over the alternative).
