Artist Event [L]

Kim Bateman, whose artwork is currently on display in the WUUC Gallery, will participate in an Artist Event on Sunday, June 12, after the service. Kim will talk about her work and her process. Please make sure you stop in to say hello. Her work will be in the gallery through June.

A little bio:
KJ Bateman started out in Washington, D.C. After stops in Colorado, Germany, Pennsylvania and California, she ended up here in the other Washington. Kim is one of the artists working in the studios set up in the VALA Eastside space at Redmond Town Center.
She holds a B.F.A. from the University of Southern California and a M.F.A. from the University of Washington where she studied under Jacob Lawrence. She has exhibited at the Whatcom Museum, CoCA, Seattle Design Center, Bellevue Art Museum, and Theater Schmeater and has work in public collections in Shoreline, Auburn and Kent. Using oils, acrylic and mixed media, she explores the details of life in her quirky expressionistic style.
