Auction Item: An Evening at an Irish Pub

For centuries, the Irish public house has been an integral part of Irish social culture. In Ireland the local pub is a pillar of the local community, where everyone knows your name and you are always welcome. It functions as both a place to consume libations* at leisure as well as a place in which to meet and greet people of a locality. In addition to the casual social atmosphere, hearty food and drink, sports, and traditional Irish music are hallmarks of pub culture. So, raise a Guiness or your beverage of choice with your friends. Enjoy traditional Irish food (colcannon, Dublin coddle, boxty, and barmbrack). Sing along to classic Irish (and Welsh) songs sung by Lanny Commeree. Watch Gaelic football and hurling.
