Circle Supper is turning into Circle Lunch!

If you would like to attend Circle LUNCH, now is the time to sign up. We’ve switched to lunch for this month to try to accommodate people for whom night time driving is a problem or who just don’t want to stay up and/or eat late in the evening.

Circle Lunch’s are potlucks held at a different community member’s house each month.

There is a sign-up sheet in a Google Doc, and anyone who wants to attend can put their name down along with their dietary preferences and what they are bringing. The sign-up sheet is sent out by Tevina Flood to announce list typically 3 weeks prior to event and added to this calendar event once available.

If you’ve never been to a Circle Supper/Lunch before and want to know more details before signing up, please keep reading. 

Circle Suppers/Lunches occur monthly on the second or third Saturday of the month. On average, there are 10-14 attendees (including the host(s)). Unless specifically stated otherwise or you coordinate directly with the host, they do not include children.  Many hosts do not have child safe / friendly homes. It’s a potluck style meal, so all attendees should do their best to contribute to the event in some way (food, beverages, etc…), although inability to contribute should not prevent you from signing up to attend. While we call it a Supper, which sounds formal, they are relaxed events. As long as you’re wearing clothes, no one’s going to care what they look like. This is not a chance to test if you know which fork to use first; this is a chance to get to know each other.  

The host most often signs up to contribute an entrée / main meal to the dinner. You do not need to try to match your contribution with the host’s; just because the host is leading with enchiladas doesn’t mean everyone else needs to follow suit with Latinx food.
