K-1 OWL Parent/Child Orientation [p2]
January 17, 2016 @ 11:30 am - 2:00 pm
We will be offering the Kindergarten/First Grade module of Our Whole Lives (OWL) sexuality classes January 24, 2016 through March 13, 2016. This program is open only to those currently enrolled in kindergarten or first grade. The class will meet Sunday mornings in the Library at WUUC from 11:30am -12:30pm.
Our Whole Lives is a values-based curriculum that fosters loving, equitable, and healthy relationships and counters injustices such as homophobia, stereotyping, and sexism. Each level of OWL uses developmentally and age-appropriate instruction to engage children, youth, and adults in learning and conversation about what it means to be a healthy sexual being.
There are two mandatory meetings before classes begin: January 10 and January 17.
Letters with more information will be mailed to families with children in Dragonflies who regularly attend RE but if you have questions sooner (or are not registered in RE) please don’t hesitate to contact me.
