Music Circle

An event every month that begins at 1:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating indefinitely
Music Circle will be held on the first Saturday of every month at 1:00 p.m. in Ditzler Hall. You are invited to bring your voice, your drums, your guitars or whatever instruments you want for impromptu music making. Bring music if you want, or just jump in any way you can and have some fun with music-minded WUUC folk.
If you are participating in the first Saturday monthly music group or if you’d like to try it out, we are adding a new feature to enhance our musical experience. If there are songs you’d to do and you’d like to have people sing-a-long with you or play along with you, I encourage you to send some form of them to me, Karen MacKenzie @ kdm075@icloud.com. I will collect them into a shared file where the group can access them and display them for all to see via the projector. Terry will be able to print out copies that he can use at the piano.
1. If you just have the lyrics, without chords or sheet music
— try a google search for lyrics with chords and include that if you can find them
— if you don’t have chords, mention the artist or composer, if possible, which can help track down music
— send in word format, as this makes adding notation for the instrumentalists easier
2. If you have the lyrics and chords
— send in word or pdf format
— if you have it in Word, use a sans serif font like Arial for improved legibility (especially when using the projector)
— try to fit it legibly on 1 page (story songs – I’m thinking of the Sea Shanty loving crowd – and others may require more than 1 page and that’s OK)
3. If you have sheet music
— scan it and send it
