Going on its third year, the WUUC poetry group will resume meeting at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11.

We are a small and welcoming group of poetry lovers who meet the 2^nd Sunday evening of most months. We spend the time sharing poetry we find, talking about the craft of writing poetry, and even working on writing our own poems. You don’t need any experience, you don’t need to be a poet, only share an interest in poetry and a desire to share that with others.

This year we’re going to shorten the time to one hour and vary what we do each month. We’ll announce the month’s theme a week or so in advance of the meeting. Come to one or all the meetings. September’s theme will be NEW POETS. Find at least one poet you weren’t previously familiar with and bring a sample of that poet’s work. We’ll share the poetry and how we found it.
