Starting Point Small Group (l&z)
June 1, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Soul Matters Starting Point group now forming!
We have a newly forming Soul Matters Starting Point group that will meet weekly on Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. for four sessions. These will start on Thursday, May 18th at 6:30 p.m. and end on Thursday June 8th. It’s a newly forming closed group – so anyone can enroll, but they should commit to the four sessions. We won’t be taking drop-ins.
Starting Point is part of Soul Matters, a popular small group program used by many UU churches across the country.
Starting Point is a different kind of newcomer program that will…
- Introduce you to small group ministries
- Help you start to form personal relationships with members & leaders of the congregation and other seekers like yourself
- Give an experience of UUism not just information about it.
- Bring UU theology & history to life
- Allow you to explore your own religious history while taking time for healing spiritual discussion
- Introduce you to WUUC’s mission, history and community
This program is one of the options in our Pathway to Membership. When we have enough participants we will start a new group, register to be notified.

Reasons to register for this class if you’ve been at WUUC for a while:
– It’s a fun, short term, small group.
– It is a great way to get to know some of our newcomers. They are the possible future of the church!
– We need experienced WUUCies to lend perspective to the class.
Reasons to register for this class if you are newer to WUUC:
– This class is designed for you. It will teach you about WUUC, UU history and theology, etc.
– It’s a great way to get to know other people who are also newer to WUUC.
