The book, Witnessing Whiteness by Shelly Tochluk has been used by several of our UU congregations as a starting place for discussion and understanding of racism.

On Sept. 30 from 7-8:30 p.m., I will begin facilitating a group at WUUC using this book. We will continue for 9 weeks (Sept. 30; Oct. 7, 21 & 28; Nov. 4, 11 & 18; and Dec. 2 & 9). Participants are asked to order a copy of the book and have read the Preface and the Introduction  by September 30.

The book is 9 very full chapters. Each week we will focus the discussion using a study guide that has been created for groups.

It is a first step for many of us on the journey of understanding race and racism. To sign up, email minister@wuuc.org
