Welcome to the Woodinville Unitarian Universalist Church. We are glad you found
us! We hope you will discern us to be an open hearted and invitational community
where there is a place for you wherever you are on your life and religious journeys.
Here you will be in the company of those who are engaged in lifelong
spiritual exploration and those who seek to put their faith into action for justice
and peace. We teach our children that:

“This is the church of the open mind,
This is the church of the loving heart,
This is the church of the helping hands.”

Ours is a religious tradition with roots dating far back into early Christendom with two
assertions: God is one (Unitarian) and that all are saved (Universalist). Though we have
emerged from Christianity and have many folks in our congregations who identify as
Christian, Unitarian Universalism is not a Christian denomination. We are a religious
movement that embraces varieties of religious thought and practice including but not
limited to humanism, paganism, mysticism, and religious naturalism. We draw on the
sources of the world’s major traditions to inspire us and have found in poetry and music,
a new sacred language. We welcome and integrate the discoveries of science as well as
the advances of all the academic disciplines.

Our Sunday worship reflects the fact that we are religiously and spiritually diverse.
We are a community of questioners and seekers; a religious tradition that espouses
no one truth but recognizes many truths; a community that values the intellect and
reason as well as intuition and reverence.

One of the readings in the back of our hymnal sends us forth with these words:

“If, here, you have found freedom,
take it with you into the world.

If you have found comfort,
Go and share it with others.

If you have dreamed dreams,
help one another,
that they may come true!

If you have known love,
give some back
to a bruised and hurting world.

Go in peace.”

May you find freedom and comfort here at Woodinville Unitarian Universalist
Church. May you dream dreams and help others do the same. If you find love, share
it unconditionally and often with a world that is in need of our healing and nurture.

Welcome…
